Served in battles of Pearl Harbor, Midway Isle; Bombardment of Japan…. Witnessed the surrender terms on September 2, 1945 – Tokyo Bay… Operated with 3rd fleet under Admiral Halsey…Places visited: Lahina Roads, Hawaii; Honolulu, T.H.; Midway Islands; Wake Islands; Markus; Eniwetok; Tokyo, Japan; Shanghai, China; Cuba; Brazil, South America; Panama;
Panama Canal… Date of discharge January31, 1945…
